Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 2026
In short: This extension respects your privacy. All your data stays on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
1. Our Commitment
We believe privacy is a fundamental right. This extension was designed from the ground up with "privacy by design": your data belongs to you and stays on your device.
2. Data Collected
We collect no data. Here's what happens on your device:
- Settings: Your preferences (blocking mode, personal messages, lists) are stored locally via chrome.storage.sync to enable synchronization across your Chrome devices.
- Statistics: Your stats (interception count, streaks, etc.) are stored locally via chrome.storage.local and never leave your device.
- Browsing history: We do not read your history. The extension only acts when you visit a site on the blocklist.
3. Data Shared
None. We do not share, sell, or transfer any data to third parties. We have no servers that collect information.
4. Blocklists
- Built-in list: A list of domains is included in the extension and reveals nothing about your activity.
- External lists (optional): If you choose to use an external list, the extension will download it from the URL you provide. We have no visibility into this download.
5. Payment (Premium)
If you upgrade to Premium, payment is handled by ExtensionPay (ExtPay). We do not store your payment information. See ExtPay's privacy policy for details.
6. Permissions Requested
Here's why we request certain permissions:
- storage: To save your settings and statistics locally.
- declarativeNetRequest: To intercept requests to blocked sites and redirect to the interception page.
- tabs: To know which site you're on and display this information in the popup.
- alarms: For periodic updates of external lists (if enabled).
- host_permissions (all_urls): Required for blocking to work on all sites in the list.
7. Security
Since your data is stored locally, its security depends on your browser and device security. We recommend:
- Keep Chrome up to date
- Use a strong password for your Google account (if sync is enabled)
- Enable PIN protection in PureFocus options
8. Your Rights
Since we collect no data, there's nothing to delete on our end. To erase your local data:
- Go to PureFocus options
- Use "Reset statistics" to clear stats
- Uninstall the extension to remove all data
9. Changes
If we modify this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we'll notify you via the extension.

💡 Our philosophy: A protection extension that spies on its users is not protection. We prefer having no data over compromising your trust.
